Aretha Franklin
Also known as "The Queen of Soul," Aretha Franklin is an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. Born on March 25, 1942, she is best known for her jazz, R&B, blues, and gospel music. To date, Aretha Franklin has won 18 Grammy Awards for her music, and has performed many songs that were featured among the Top 10 Hot 100 Singles in America, among which include "Respect," "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," and "I Say a Little Prayer."
On December 28, 2010, an internet rumour arose stating that Aretha Franklin passed away, having lost the battle with pancreatic cancer. To date, this rumour has not been officially confirmed to be true or false, but most believe that it is indeed false, and that Aretha is still alive and well.
