English (EN) The over-arching term for all ESDF mobile suits representing the core and branch development of the RX-78 prototype. This term covers both core models, closely resembling the original Gundam such as the Zeta Gundam and the Unicorn Gundam, and branch models, such as the Hyaku Shiki, Methus and Rick Dias. The Gundam figure is also the usual tool for plot resolution by the main character in any given Gundam series.
